Paw Prints On My Heart

I Never Truly Understood The Bond That Owners And Pets Had Until One Trip To The Local Animal Shelter Changed My Life And Understanding Forever.
I Had Decided I Was Ready And Willing To Take On The Responsibility Of Pet Ownership. After Looking Searching Online For Local Shelters I Came Across A Shelter I Was Interested In Taking A Trip To. The Shelter Had Photos Of The Cutest Dogs That Needed Homes. I Had My "Favorites" Chosen List Made And Off To The Shelter I Went.
Straight For The Dogs On My List Did My Meet And Greet And Interview With Shelter Officials. I Was Told My Top Choice Dog Was Not Good With Kids. Well Disappointed I Had To Turn Away That Choice. I Go Back Through The Shelter And There Barking For My Attention Was Simon A Mixed Breed Dog. I Did'nt Even Remember Seeing Him The First Time Through Or On The Shelter Website, I Was In Love With His Detailed Bark And Fluffy Wagging Tail.
Instantly I Felt This Was The Perfect Choice. I Adopted Him and Was So Excited To Start This Journey With My New Found Friend. Almost 3 Years Ago Was That Destined Day. I Have Fell In Love With Simon. Love Watching Him Grow And Seeing His Personality Take Center Stage. Simon Has Been There For My Family And I Through Difficult And Triumph Times. Simon's Dog Kisses And Tail Wagging Hello's Each And Everyday Are Heartfelt And Embraced. He Is Eager To Please And Loves Belly Rubs.
Some Would Say Simon Is Lucky, But I Say I'm The Lucky One! Simon Has Changed My Life And Gave Me A New Love For Animals Especially Dogs. I Have Learned So Many Lessons From Simon And Continue To Learn Everyday. Simon Has Taught Me Patience, Understanding, Dedication And Most Of All Engraved Paw Prints On My Heart Forever.
